Who we are
PaddyGambler is an information site about online casinos for players in Ireland. We don’t offer gambling ourselves. For anything in this policy, write to [email protected].
What we collect
- When you browse, if you allow statistics: anonymous statistics about the pages you visit and the device you use
- When you write to us: your name, email address and message
- When you click through to a casino: an anonymous click record, so the casino can tell it came from us
Cookies
Until you choose, we use only what the site needs to work. The banner on your first visit lets you accept or reject the rest, with equal buttons, and you can change your mind any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Nothing optional is switched on until you agree.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| pg_consent (necessary) | Remembers your cookie choices | Six months, then we ask again |
| pg-wheel (stored in your browser) | Remembers that you claimed a prize on the wheel, so it isn’t offered again | Until you clear your browser |
| Statistics (only if you allow them) | Anonymous counts of the pages read and the devices used | Up to 26 months |
| Game studios’ cookies (only if you allow demos) | Set by the studio’s own site when a free demo loads | Under the studio’s own policy |
When you click through to a casino, its own site may set cookies under its own policy.
How we use your data
To run and improve the site, to answer your messages, and to receive payment from casinos for players we refer. We never sell your data and never pass your contact details to a casino.
How long we keep it
Messages for up to two years after the last reply; anonymous statistics for up to 26 months; click records for as long as a casino may pay us for them.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it. Write to us and we will answer within a month.
If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission, Ireland’s data protection authority.
